Endorsement of Sarah McBride: A government that represents all voices makes a stronger state

Board member Shaku Bhaya penned a piece in the News Journal to kick off the 2020 election cycle and announce Mary Ann’s List first endorsement. Read her piece in the News Journal here.
“Luckily, there is, and will remain, a groundswell of activism that has demanded inclusive and diverse perspectives in our leaders. In Delaware’s 2018 election voters took the ballot box by storm, electing a wave of Democratic women to public office and in particular sending a record number of African American women to the Delaware General Assembly.
As we look to the next election cycle, Mary Ann’s List remains deeply committed to recruiting, supporting and electing pro-choice Democratic women to offices across our state. From local candidates to statewide races — we are working to make all women’s voices heard in the political process. So, it is with great pride that we announce state senate candidate, Sarah McBride, as our first endorsement of the 2020 election cycle.”
