No one gives a woman a seat in elected office. They must take it.
If we want to see change, if we want to see a more equal, more representative Delaware, that starts with electing more women into public office.
Women’s experiences have the power to advance monumental policy changes, from supporting paid leave to protecting reproductive healthcare. We’ve seen those experiences shape states, and our country, but we need to see it more.
Our co-founder and board chair Meghan Wallace says it’s time to get motivated and mobilized:
“We must use this moment in history to recognize that, broadly speaking, women and all marginalized groups live in a country of laws we did not draft, with structures we did not design, and governed by leaders who generally cannot relate to the experiences we’ve lived through.”
